After recording and releasing three singles this year, Leon Pascal plays his debut at Orinoco Books. His mellow Post-Folk songs feature guitar and voice only, but contain intricate guitar patterns and smooth vocal lines where every note is chosen carefully. The compositions balance complexity and accessibility with ease, and invite the listener to both dream away and pay attention to the play of their rich textures.
Charles Frail (folk) released his first record “Morning, it Breathes” in 2011: a 41 minute long stream of consciousness song on morning and mourning. He shared stages with (among others) Daniel Johnston, Josh T. Pearson and Dustin O’Halloran. He stopped performing under this name for over ten years but recently resumed work on what will be his second record: Mirror River.
